This is the why behind Organo Natural Furnishings. Created in 2002, Organo Natural Furnishings was the brainchild of individuals who realized that something wasn't missing from furniture: Formaldehyde. And that there were better materials available for furniture manufacture but they weren't being used. And that green was cool, not granola. It has taken a little while for the rest of the world to catch up to this idea and it heartens us to see our materials- Kirei Board, bamboo, FSC-certified woods, recycled metal, Paperstone, recycled glass, nontoxic adhesives and cleaner finishes- used throughout the furniture world. Now we can keep on producing clean, elegant modern furniture by great designers for the people we know.
The principles that guide Organo are: "Live Well" and "Live Within". It used to be believed that these two were incompatible, that to build and consume without depleting natural resources or utilizing toxic chemicals made you a crazy hippie doomed to scratchy hemp shirts and dim lights. New technology (some of it based on the oldest techniques and materials) allows us to make furniture and accessories with style and performance. Sacrifice is a dirty word at Organo. Opportunity, the opportunity to do things a new way, isn't.
We thank you for enjoying our creations, and we look forward to joining you in your homes.
